Building PBN Backlinks for Cloaked Pages That Actually Rank
Your cloaked page means nothing if it doesn't rank. Here's how to build authority the right way.
A cloaked page that doesn't rank on page 1 produces zero traffic. SEO cloaking only works if your page is ranking, and ranking requires authority signals — links, mostly.
Public link-building is dead for affiliate verticals. No legitimate site links to a crypto affiliate page. So we build our own. PBN — Private Blog Network — is a network of sites you control that link to your money pages.
Why PBNs still work
Google says they devalue PBN links. In practice, well-built PBNs work. The reason: Google's link-graph algorithm evaluates each link individually. If a link comes from a site that:
- Has aged TLD (5+ years)
- Has organic backlinks of its own
- Has consistent indexed content
- Has reasonable on-site engagement metrics
...the link counts. Google can't realistically penalize the entire concept of one site linking to another, so they evaluate per-link. Operators who build PBNs that look like real sites get real ranking lift.
Building a PBN that looks legit
- 1Buy expired domains with existing backlinks. Use ExpiredDomains.net, SerpZilla, or auction.GoDaddy. Filter by Domain Authority, Trust Flow, and absence of toxic backlinks.
- 2Host on diversified IPs across different registrars and hosting providers. One PBN site per IP. Same IP = footprint.
- 3Restore the original site theme as much as possible (Wayback Machine). New themes from scratch are detectable.
- 4Add 10-20 real articles. AI-generated is fine but humanize them — pass them through GPT for editing, add specific examples.
- 5Wait. New PBN sites need 30-60 days before placing money links.
Anchor text strategy
Link diversity is everything:
- 30-40% branded ('Acme Inc', 'acme.com')
- 30% naked URL ('https://acme.com')
- 10-15% generic ('click here', 'learn more')
- 10-15% partial-match ('crypto exchange platform')
- 5-10% exact-match ('best crypto exchange')
Exact-match is the highest-impact but also highest-risk. Use sparingly.
Indexing and monitoring
PBN posts must get indexed. If Google never crawls them, the link is worthless. Push indexing via:
- Google Search Console URL Inspection (manual, slow, low limit)
- Indexing API (works for some domains, not all)
- Internal linking from already-indexed pages
- Submitting to Google via a sitemap.xml on the PBN site
Monitor each link's status with a tool like Ahrefs or Linkody. If a link drops from index, the source page may be deindexed — investigate.
Stop running cloaking on duct tape.
Overcloak ships the 11-layer detection stack described above out of the box. $97/mo locked forever for the first 50 customers — only 13 founder seats left.
